Battlefield: Bad Company's big new features were its destructible environments and focus on single player. The campaign followed the antics of the titular B-squad as they fought off waves of enemies and searched for god riches. (There was a sequel, but the less said about its campaign, the better.)
Well, it looks like some network bigwigs saw potential in the premise, and are now adapting it into a television series.

Alias is supposed to be a good show, but Happy Madison? Eh, calling it a "Bad Company" might be just a little too generous.

Sandler-related misgivings aside, the premise could be worked into an entertaining television show. It seems to be along the same lines as The A-Team or Burn Notice, and those are definitely fine shows to follow. Considering how well game adaptations manage on the big screen, though, we'll have to see how it manages on the silver one.

On another note, they shouldn't have to worry about coming up with a theme song. I've got just the thing...

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Why the hell does FOX even bother? It's just going to get cancelled after the first 4 episodes any way like 99% of all their new shows do.

Maybe they'll throw in song and dance to attract the Glee crowd.

I'll be completely honest and say the last thing I considered "good" on Fox was Arrested Development. And they cancelled that.

Most of these networks do "shotgun" a lot with shows. Blow a bunch of shows out there and hope one of them becomes a Glee or Big Bang Theory: not particularly good, but cheap to make and successful in ratings.

The concept, I guess it's alright, but it feels like it'll be really uninteresting without a good cast and writing. I'd rather just watch Burn Notice.

I don't know, they could get a lot of mileage out of a Fiddler On The Roof episode...

Of the many many game related films you could have picked you picked one that was arguably pretty watchable and coherent enough internally to do the job? Granted I have to wonder at the ratings (as in censorship) it got outside the US (all were considerably less than the highest) but that is a different discussion. Whether I go so far as to say good mindless action film when there are definite greats in that category it does not come close to I am not sure, but I can see it being a contender.

This is already a plot of a TV series. Why not make it?
