I bought one and can say it is the best quality stlyus i have had - and i had an original battle stlyus!

hey those battle styli look sweet, but after trying a few other styli, 3rd party DS, palm stylus, ipaq stylus, I have found the best I've ever held. anybody interested it is available at Future SHop in canada

now it comes with pen/stylus/LED light/laser pointer etc out of the box, great shape and a nice pointed nub for finer control than the rounded DS stylus. however the thing felt unbalanced... the soloution was to unscrew the back end containing the batteries, LED and laser pointer. now I have a point tipped, perfectly balanced, nicely weighted elegant stylus. check it out

That belkin stylus looks suspisiously like the noname brand pen I got HERE for $5 shipped.

15 bucks for a sliver of metal? That's a bit stiff. I'd pay ~3-5 each. Thanks, but no thanks.

You clearly have no idea. Sorry, not trying to start any flame war here, but the difference between PDA Panache's stylus and the chunk of plastic that comes w/ the DS or DS Lite is night and day. It's like the difference between a real arcade stick versus that $5 off brand Dualshock knock off you got at Walmart. You know the one, the one that you always make your friends use when you want to school them in any VS 2 player game, or use yourself as a handicap. Used a sub $15 mouse lately? See where I'm going? If you think of it as a controller rather then a "sliver of metal" the price is easily justified IMO.

I suppose if that's what you're used to though then you'll never know what your missing, but once you've used one for any length of time you'll find it impossible to go back. I've had a PDA Panache stylus in my DS since IGN first alerted me to their existence. The first thing I did after I pre-ordered my black DS lite is order a DSL stylus from them... Even before I ordered a new PassMe type device (I only had a PassMe 1 device for my launch DS which is flashed now anyway)

or a new DSL flash cart, they truly are that good. And as much better as the DS battle stylus is compared to the one that comes w/ a DS, the DSL version is that much of an upgrade from even the DS battle stylus.

And really, $15 isn't that much for a "sliver of metal", I've got a cabinet at work full of much smaller chunks of metal that cost around $20 a piece. Filled up, the cabinet is worth ~$16,000.

And just to add one more voice to what every one else has been saying: 1) The display on a DSL is so much better then the DS. When I got my DS I started playing a lot of GBA games again just because they looked so much better on it. Now I'm doing the same thing w/ DS games because they look that much better again on the DSL. 2) The DSL battle stylus fits perfectly in a DSL stylus slot... And could I say more about how great they are?

3) Everyday that you're not on fire is a good day. 4) I just picked up my DSL today so any comments on battery performance, hinge issues and such will have to come later.

Oh, and to anyone getting a PDA Panache DSL stylus, get the orange tip. It's alarming at first, but once you get over its orangieness it really is easier to see and use.
