Hardware Battery life

I have had my regular nintendo DS since the 1st day, recently i have decided to switch but i have a few questions to confirm my decision.
My main concern = battery power.. with the old nintendo DS, its bulkier which can be said that it may have a larger battery than the DS Lite. i have compared the two in screen brightness and the DSLite wins. So i think it would consume more battery charge than the old. I play me ds quite a bit but I want battery power Over brightness. Any facts on this topic is greatly appreciated and thanks for reading =)

the ds lite should be about 19-20 hours on the lowest brightness.


maybe you can get a replacement battery for your ds??

Battery size is about the same on both. The DS Lite (as far as I know) has a longer-lasting battery when set to the same brightness as the DS Phat.
