So I got some new bullshit. It's giving me this message today. I can't save my games anymore.
I can use an exit feature on PocketNES and Goomba to save, but turning off the gameboy will result in me selecting Chinese or English, then a message saying "battery is dry or first in".

Seriously? How shitty is the quality control on these things? I got 2 carts with problems back to back.

Opened it up to discover an atrocious solder job led to the top part being completely snapped off from the solder point.

Luckily I bought a new solder kit last month. I'll just solder the sucker back together.

Fixed. The solder joint was way too thin. I bring my GBA to work a lot of times and the job is very physical, so it probably stretched and caused the weak solder joint to break. Now it's a nice blob.
