Over the weekend the 3rd animated feature from DC Universe Animated was leaked onto the old net. This one features Batman and is actually intended to bridge the events of Batman Begins & The Dark Knight.

As you can see it is animé inspired, but this is no "wapanese" feature as the animators are respected Japanese folk and their art and style really fits in with the Batman world well. Ok the six stories aren't exactly Earth shattering and not as good as the other Batman animated films but they are good to watch though I'd prefer to see something like this done with a much longer story. There are also said to be some great extras on the actual discs including episodes from the amazing Batman: Animated Series.

Other DC Animated films included the awesome Justice League: New frontier & the decent Superman: Doomsday. The one after this will be Wonder Woman one.

Justice League: New Frontier

Superman: Doomsday

I watched Batman: Gotham Knight yesterday, I really liked it a lot. It was a bit like the animatrix, filling in some unknown parts of the story and the episodes where in different drawing styles.

I really recommend people watching it!

It appeared for this afternoons watching, reviews seem mixed but I long ago gave up caring what others thought about this sort of thing (and to be fair the other animated batman shows were awesome and I would say still stand up today unlike some others (I got the original xmen cartoon the other week and while I still love I can not see people today watching it, same with pirates of dark water).

I heard about this a few weeks ago, and after seeing the trailer for it, i'm quite stoked! You say one has been leaked? Mmm, methinks i'm going to have to start searching after work today. Can't wait to see this!

A DVDR has appeared today so I'll check that one out for the extras.

The Dark Knight itself is getting some really amazing reviews, all saying its perfect.

Is this animated film playing between the two movies? or is it a whole new story?
It is six stories set after Batman Begins and before The Dark Knight.

Wow, this is new to me... I have to watch this before seeing the dark knight. I hope it is as "dark" as the movie batman begins.
I'd say the six stories are darker.

According to every review I've read of the Dark Knight, it completely blows Batman Begins and every comic based movie out of the water. A lot are even saying its "Oscar worthy".

I watched it last night and was very impressed (maybe just because nothing else has appeared recently but I do not think so). I was incredibly tired though so I will watch them again.
Going by this and if what Hadrian says is half that it may even mark my return to the cinema (last was Casino Royale I think).

too bad when heath died they all mentioned brokeback mountain NONSTOP... im not a fan of the guy, but what i gather is that he was a decent actor. yet he dies and will be forever known as that gay cow boy from brokeback mountain...

i havent seen the bat man.. i've seen both Justice League and Superman... Justice League was good, but i liked superman better.. even if it didnt follow the books (with man of steel, cyborg, teen, etc) it still did the job. I was never a big league fan. but green lantern, as always, is the real man of DC.
