Hacking Bannerbomb freezing at scam disclaimer

I just got the unmodded Wii right now and doing bannerbomb v1.

It freezes at the screen, I gave each run 5 minutes.

I've tried the alternates. The recommended 1f and the alternate 20 and 22 freeze at scam.
1e and 26 freeze before the boot dialog even comes (while in SD Card window)

Any suggestions, I'm somewhat reluctant to try bannerbomb v2 because I think it'll update me to 4.2

Go for bannerbomb v2, it might work, but from SD card menu, not data management.
Bannerbomb itself does not update the wii.

Bannerbomb v2 ended up not working. I went the roundabout way of using the Hackmii solutions in Modmii Windows.

That method of using Multi Mod Manager to install WADs and then running Hackmii

You can also try letterbomb, t works on all firmwares.

The problem has been solved.

For other people wondering, used Multi Mod Manager to install new IOSs then ran Hackmii Installer again.

Edit: Apparently I had one of the problem IOSs, IOS 30 to IOS 35, it caused freeze at the scam screen.
