Hacking banner bricking thought

has it been said that it would be terribly difficult to patch the system menu so it
displays some kind of "null object" when it encounters a "corrupt" banner,
instead of causing a banner brick? like how the net displays 404 Not Found.

I could see that being like a new starfall sysmenu patch, but I'm sure depending on how you did it,
it could be more work than it is worth?

Primitive idea was already available in source... I'm talking about the sadmenu application..
Yet starfall is not open source... Getting the desired effect maybe possible reverse engineering the system menu yet it will be harder compared to the current patches.

But it would be useless, if you install starfall you will already get the recovery menu patch... that kind of patch will just make it more noob friendly.
