Here's an idea for if you're feeling community-minded.

If you're already banned (or don't care about getting banned for doing this, because you will), and if you are a (paid) SX OS user, you can potentially load up any dumped cartridge game .xci and download any available game update for it. (I understand from other threads that banned users do have access to download updates, hopefully that won't change in the future, but in case it might, more reason to act now.)

Then, if you're tech savvy enough to follow this guide, you can dump those game updates as .nsp files (bonus points for dumping any eshop games you happen to own while you're at it).

Then obviously you can't share such copyrighted files here at sunny gbatemp, so go to one of those sordid internet places where such things are encouraged, and start sharing them. Collaborate with others to cover all the updates, and mirror them amply to make sure they never disappear.

The site I've seen goes by a two word name, the first word is dark, and the second is the name of the darkest part of a shadow. If there are any other/better places, please let me know.

But what can we do with these update files once they're dumped? Currently, they can be extracted alongside the main game to be used with the layeredfs method, for those into that. I don't think they can be installed and used yet with real cartridges or SX OS using the dev menu, but correct me if I'm wrong. It's only a matter of time until we have sig patches and can install & run whatever, so these updates will prove useful one way or another.
