UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon spoke to Col Gaddafi earlier today. In a statement to the BBC, his office now says Mr Ban is "outraged" at reports of aircraft firing on civilians in Libya. Calling for an immediate end to the violence, the statement adds: "Such attacks against civilians, if confirmed, would constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law and would be condemned by the secretary-general in the strongest terms."[/p]

What Gaddafi is doing is just disgusting.
He should be sentence to death for crimes against humanity.

I can't even fathom a punishment for an event of this magnitude, I wish someone would stand up and do something about this.. but it would seem they are to weak.

A few pilots had abandoned the plan and sought asylum in neighboring areas. I was proud of them.

But I've been watching the footage coming out of the country, and it's horrible. Moreso that apparently no one bothers to pay attention.

    Away from civilization.
It's pretty disgusting how people can get. Some people were burned to death for not shooting and the civilians grew even more angry because of it. I hope something will be done about this before more innocent blood is shed.

This whole thing is a terrible tragedy.

That being said, so were the many murders perpetrated daily by U.S. military in Iraq. No one dares call out the U.S. government on our crimes, however.

Not just Iraq alone--far too many places.

Far too much needless killing anywhere, of any country. What a useless way to be.
