Backup Without User data games etc

    Backup emmc Boot 0/1
    Backup emmc Sys

As for the restore Im unsure

    Maybe

    Restore emmc Boot 0/1
    Restore Gpp Partitions

    Personally

I would always make a full backup before any modification

And You should still make a full backup Regardless,
If you have games and stuff in your full backup you can always remove them when you do a restore

Thing is I already started downloading NSPS and filled up my 400GB SD card. Moving all the files over and installing games was very time consuming and I don't want to start again. But i alss don't want to back up 400GB NAND. That's why I was wondering how to just backup essential files.

    Hey buddy
You dont backup a 400gb nand lol..

This guide and backup process is to only backup a 32gb Nand chip in your system not your sd card your files On sd can stay.....

But Backup The folders on the sd card that you replace with my sd card files

    first..

In your case Do you have a 32gb sd card spare ?
If you do then use my guide And make a full backup to that sdcard

Of course you can, you was not making much sense to begin with but i understand you now.

But i wanna make sure your safe

    So

Step 1 Open my sd card files zip in a window
Step 2 Next open your sd card files in a window next to it.
Step 3 Now compare what is in my files to your sd and back up the same folders and files from your sd to your desktop folder
Step 4 Now you have backed up the files and folders On your sd To your desktop
You can now put my files on your sd card..

Step 5 You can now follow my guide

But Please do not wipe your sd card at the end of My guide .
Instead just copy over the folders you backed up Just now back to your sd

    Do you follow now... ?

    Ok sure Np..

Ask in thread if your unsure

Everything can stay on your sd card Except for the files your be using from my zip
So back up the relevant files first before using my files Also do your self a favour and make a full backup suggested in my guide ok. This full backup will be no bigger then 30gb

Dont forget to like if i have helped you or my guide was of use to you

When I tried to dump my keys.txt to my sd card using kezplez, I successfully enter the homebrew and need to wait for 20 seconds, but before that happens I got this error message.
What did I did wrong ? Please help and thanks

Firstly Did the program load ? did you see the rainbow ? when did the error happen ? did the kezplez say it was finished ?

You are missing console info dump i explained in my guide and in the reply i used to another person with the same issue

Make sure you have the correct files in your dump folder

also try copying boot 0 and boot 1 from backup folder on sd card to the root of sd card

You should blank out your FULL Switch serial number in that picture! No need to make that public.

Hey, got a question: I have an offline switch on 4.1.0 and the first thing I did was a backup of rawnand and boot 0, boot 1.
I did not back up emmc sys. Is there any difference if I back it up now after getting errors (which are in the log I suppose)? Or am I not able to restore my Switch to an untouched state, if needed?

You have the 3 most important files. boot 0 boot 1 rawnand.bin

If you followed my guide then you should of backed up all important files.
Bis keys tsec key and your boot0/1 and rawnand..
I only ask to dump sys so you have files to use with the tools that are out there

Recommend you dump your console info and tsec and bis if you have not already

And console info dump atm is for keplez

as long as there clean dump meaning before you did any homebrew exploits games etc, as for logs thats a questionable subject atm.

but yeah if you did not mod nothing before your backup il reckon your ok.

Personally logs get wiped when factory restore anyway surely right
Or via nintendos own built in recovery mode..

This is a successful report on a fresh 4.1 switch (i.e. no exFAT driver):

I was able to use an exFAT card to backup everything, except keys.txt using kezplez. Unfortunately, without exFAT drivers, I cannot run the homebrew launcher by launching the Album app. I ended up copying the Backup folder into a fat32 card (without rawnand.bin and with the additional pkg1/2 dumps), with the contents of sdfiles.zip. Then, I was able to get keys.txt.
