Trying to restore my rawnand.bin, after having restored Boot0/1 sucesfully, returns to the Restore menu as soon as I press any key, you can see a frame of it saying 00: rawnand.bin in green, but then it returns.

My SDCard is formatted in exFAT with Gnome-Disks.

    Structure:
    SD:/backup/{1234ID}/restore/rawnand.bin (and boot0/1)

I'm trying to restore my NAND/eMMC to a other 32GB chip/eMMC module on the same Switch.

I read the thread from the guide, did you ever get more knowledge about the FS.kip?

It seems to be something I'm missing, Hekate also doesn't seem to have a backup/restore option for it.
It's probably it bit more complicated than that.

I do not need to extend the partition in my case yet, so using the HacTool isn't something I'm missing out on here I think. Or perhaps that's the tool to use to create or and restore that FS.kip?

But indeed, also pinging @CTCaer in this case. :)

How risky is this process now that people have had time to test things out?

Nothing about this is risky since all you're doing is dumping files. It certainly is time consuming as dumping the whole 29.1 GB worth of NAND takes at least an hour. If you're referring to restoring the NAND, that is not risky as long as you did a fully verified NAND backup which Hekate is set to perform by default.

Hmm, admittedly I've been out of the loop, but that is reassuring indeed.

After making a NAND backup, what will I do with the files that I copied to SD card if I did the backup to a new switch (the 3 sd files on the bottom of the first post)?. And if I am already running atmosphere cfw, do I need to copy those files? If I need to copy it what will I do if there are duplicate files? And is there a way to verify if the backup that I made is working?

This is the /partitions folder in the backup folder?

I think by now you know how much I appreciate your continued support to the community. If not, thank you, once again. I noticed you mentioned you updated for 7.0.1 and added Lockpick RCM. Unfortunately, you didn't modify the OP to reflect Lockpick RCM. While using it is pretty self-explanatory, I'm sure this guide is more for users who aren't entirely confident in their Switch skills, and so I recommend putting a small blurb about it. Using Lockpick RCM would also remove the requirement of loading up CFW and launching homebrew. Just in case someone wants to keep their NAND "clean" without restoring.

If you'd like to write up a little something to update the OP with, please let me know. ^_^

Canna is amazing, he helped me go from 7.01 back to 6.2 formware and back on homebrew and CFW. Top man.

Is it preferable to do a full backup on a new system prior to the first-time setup or after?

I used your guide with great success when I made my 5.x and 6.x backup nand back then.
Today, I've downloaded everything again to have the updated files. I want to make a backup of my 7.0.1 nand but after I inject the payload, all that I'm getting is the kosmos screen followed by a text saying 'boot.dat?' It doesn't launch Hekate.
    Not sure what to do.
