if you do not boot into rcm your burn fuses, if your on a higher firmware then you originally booted normally with...

boot with a bootloader that bypasses fuse checks, hekate sxos reinX etc....

    Rcm
So with rcm is a special mode connected to the hardware, Apu chip in your switch, rcm allows for sending payloads..
Im sure you know this so im not going into alot of detail..

For rcm you have some options you can
manually boot into rcm then load payload then cfw
    or use
boot autorcm send payload then load cfw.

Installing autorcm will corrupt your boot 0/1 which allows to auto into rcm mode (recovery mode)

Dont worry its suppose to corrupt your boot0/1 so it always enters rcm..
you can disable autorcm at anytime and restore what autorcm changes

end of the line buddy i recommend you use auto rcm so you dont burn..

Do some research before playing with your switch.

    Goodluck

    eMMC raw gpp = restores rawnand.bin (1 file) (all partitions ) - excluding boot0/1
GPP Partitions = restores mutiple partition files you backed up - excluding boot0/1

I have a nand and boot 0/1 backup from 4.1.0 virgin. Is there anyway to keep autorcm enabled after i restore these? I can't find my jig at the moment so would like to keep autorcm on if at all possible.

restore boot0/1 in hekate then before doing anything else goto autorcm and enable or apply it again before you even exit

    then restore rawnand..

not sure why you want to go back to 4.1

if your fuse count is higher then 4.1 then i dont recommend going back
unless your fuse count matches 4.1

thanks for the reply, good to know.
fuse count currently sitting at 5 so it matches 4.1
accidentally upgraded to 7.0 and i wanted to sit at 6.2 for a while, the only backup i have is of 4.1 and I haven't done much since then.

    Hi @Canna

Currently I do not know if i want to ever go back to my clean 3.0.2 and start from zero there again when i will switch possibly to sx os.
Is there a list where i can see what fuse count i must have to match my clean 3.0.2 nand backup ?
In a scenario where i restore my nand, my gc controller should hopefully have the matching version as I tried to preserve old version (how can i check this btw ?) and i would switch to sx os with emunand as file. and from there i always start with autorcm, will my gamecard controller be updated when i use sx os emunand ? if yes how can i prevent this with sx os emunand happening ? i guess the standard system version fuses will not burn when always starting with autorcm and starting sx os payload ? and theoretically i could leave my original nand on 3.0.2 right because i only start emunand ? will there be traces on that "clean" nand if i ever want to completely go legit with formatting sd card and booting original system on 3.0.2 ? Sorry for so many questions :)
    thanks for your help

Hey, i restored to a backup that was from 5.1.0 when I was on 7.0.1 after my brother accidentally updated and now nothing boots up and is completely black. I can't access RC either.

    use hekate and run stock,,,

your need rcm to boot into hekate....

RCM IS A HARDWARE EXPLOIT IT DOES NOT DISAPPEAR CAUSE OF NAND SO YOU CAN STILL RCM YOUR JUST NOT DOING IT CORRECTLY TRY HOLD POWER OFF FOR 20 SECS THEN RCM IT WITH POWER BUTTON AND VOLUME UP....

If it wont boot into stock after loading stock in hekate,,,

you need to rebuild your nand,,, i have already helped one guy do this today il post the link with the same instructions for you to do...

pay attention dont fuck it up..
