Hacking backup chip question!

anyone ever heard of a bricked DS?
like running a bad rom/emulator and having DS bricked?
i saw a video of a PSP getting bricked and i have downloaded some DS roms but I am a little frightened my DS may get bricked.
I have a DS lite and I am using an R4DS cart. thanks!

Nah, doesn't happen when you just use roms

most virusscanners even recognize PSP/DS.Brick

just get them from legit locations, make sure there not geocities style site

Me and my friends have downloaded all kind of homebrew/roms and tried it on our DS-Xtremes, and everything still works 100% today.

There's a small, nearly impossible chance to brick your DS from ROMs.

Just flash your DS. Then the fail safe prevents a brick.

In the 9 months I've been registered here at GBAtemp I haven't seen anyone fall victim to the bricker, but several people have bricked their DS trying to flash it.
