Hello i would like to know if there is a public utility for ripping the VC games from my console so that i can store then for use as a backup for a new console (say my wii gets destroyed in a fire and i have to buy a new one)

Just wanting to know... or do i even need to do anything? is it as simple as copying the files to the SD card?

    Thank you anyway!

You can easily copy the channel to your SD Card.

Yes it possible. How do you think Wii-BlaZe group getting VC games? They back up purchased games and hack it, and then make WAD`s.

They use Wankinkoko's tool, which exploits yet another bug in the Wii.

    Lamers.

    GBATemp factory.
They used Waninkoko's Wii NAND dumber to get the files.

From what I gathered, the NAND dump will be encrypted right?

No, decrypted. However, once you have the files you can't do anything with them until a wad packer is released.

The NAND is encrypted well the NAND dumper says it is you need the key or something or other to decrypt it......

You want the NAND FS dumper.
