Hacking Backing up and restoring original DS save files with a Powersaves 3DS device

Is this possible? I'm waiting for my Powersaves 3DS to arrive, and I'd like to know if there's any possible way to make it work with original DS games as well, and not just 3DS cards.

My friend actually has one. to this current date as of posting, there is no ds support whatsoever, giving you a hardware not found error. so no, there is no way to manage ds saves using this device. your only current options are around $50 USD, though they can supposedly dump your rom as well, meaning fully legal backups depending on your local copyright laws.

I use my R4 and an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 to dump/restore my Pokemon saves.
