Hacking back up backups to HDD

I recently acquired a large hard drive for the wii. Will the "Install Game" option of USB Loader GX work for previous DVD-R game backups? If so, will they be the scrubbed versions?

If that doesn't work, what is my best option? I know WBFS Manager does a great job with the hard drive management and scrubbing, but does that mean I have to dump the whole game?

There are WBFS managers that will do a direct DVD BACKUP->WBFS operation. That's your best bet and certainly much faster than using the Wii. But if I was just getting started with a new drive I'd give the CFG USB Loader thread a look and think about using FAT32 instead of WBFS.
