Without easily replaceable controller parts, I'm not interested. If an analog stick breaks, or buttons stop functioning, it becomes a pain (for people like me) to open it up and fix / replace).

The removable JoyCons is the my favorite aspect of the Switch, if my JoyCon breaks, the replacement takes 10 seconds, this is how all handhelds should be going forward.

So we already entered in the PS4/one era of handheld PC: more powaaaaa, cause reasons
That was quick.

The last time, Ayaneo managed to provide a handheld slighty more heavy than the deck: 650 versus 640g.
-> Weight should be a marketing argument, but no one cares
-> No native steamOS means no efficient input config nor proton, so 90% of my backlog will be unplayable.

It will be 800€ as always.
If it is above 500g (it could even has the vita perfect size, one can dream), it will have absolutely zero appeal to me.

Do companies have anything but "flagships" these days? I wish one of them released a "lifeboat" console for $200.

So I guess it's kinda trendy to drop sh*t on Ayaneo right now ?

Ayaneo abuses the crowdfunding system, it's a fact, but I hope that everyone who criticizes them doesn’t turn a blind eye to the hundreds of other brands that still rely on this model today. Personnaly, I believe that crowdfunding should be very limited in any case and should only assist companies for their first product or a flagship product every few years... Besides, speaking of products, Ayaneo is far from being THE brand that produces countless new devices every year.

In short, there are plenty of issues to discuss regarding Ayaneo, but 1. they are far from being the only ones involved, 2. no one is forcing anyone to buy or even talk about their products, and 3. we should be glad that all this competition exists, especially since we retro handhelds are currently riding the wave of Moore's law.
