I believe this handheld was codenamed "REVO" and AYANEO has been teasing for over a month from what I can recall. Let's see how much overpriced AYANEO plans to price this handheld.

I'm happy enough with my second-hand Ayaneo 2 TYVM.
It was about 60% cheaper than an actual notebook with the same specs over here.
Great for using it as a workstation with a deck and KB+M combo.

Also, yeah, they do make way too many devices, but if there are people out there willing to buy them, they'll keep doing it, at zero risks since it's all crowdfunded (I don't get why some people here hate this business model. It's perfect as long as the company delivers, and Ayaneo has always delivered).

Another model of the Aya Neo? Don't they have like 15 now?
And then they wonder why people buy Steam Decks instead, I personally wouldn't want to buy a portable PC without any sort of support and with 3 new models/revisions of it made by the time it arrives from China.

maybe if it was cheaper like a steam deck, it doesn't overheat and doesn't get broken in a couple of months after purchase people might actually get it

impressive how they managed to oversaturate the market for their own products. Has there really been many advancements to make this a worthwhile upgrade over the Aya neo 2?

Can we take two seconds to actually use the existing hardware before pooping something else out please?

It's already bad enough tons of people literally waste their hardware with yearly (or less time than that) upgrades for gains that really can't be justified. Most people don't even know the full capabilities of their current hardware, hell you can't even put much faith in most who claim to be an enthusiast to fully explore those territories because they do tests that aren't realistic to potential real world use, or the capabilities of the real world applications that are utilized daily, let alone does hardly anyone understand the trade off between hardware and software, and how sub-optimal coded software can definitely make hardware look worse than what it really is. Benchmarking software is not an end all be all for hardware, in fact, they aren't above the idea of being sub-optimal in their own ways, and they definitely don't serve as a proper indicator of real world use, because real world use wildly varies. We live in a timeline where people really think power means everything, marketing exploits that limited mindset.

This is wasteful on tons of resources, we should be spending more time developing advancements in this technology for long term capabilities, and making the most out of it, rather than being primitive and wasting stuff for gains that realistically we probably already have if we just handle things correctly. This all comes off pretty broad and outside the scope of this AYANEO hardware, but that's because almost EVERY technical aspect of things in life, consumers a lot of times have the wrong ideas, and the companies spreading their cheeks to drop these things in close proximety to predecessor technologies just adds exploitative fire to the mix, and all around makes the field of technology look like a messy junkyard.

We need to stop.
I liked what you wrote after the first sentence and stopped reading. This literally has to stop, with everything.

I have an ayaneo Geek 2s, and it's...... fine. Better than a steam deck, but so little support or community.

The only devices that would be worth updating to would be a steam deck 2 or a device that Nvidia could potentially put out. Until then, these companies are just spinning their wheels and releasing half-baked updates.

This is such a well-made post about the problem with Aya Neo, mind if I quote/use it somewhere else?

Ayaneo products seem not worth it anymore as they release too many products. People who bought the previous products probably had a regret already.

Why am I hearing a bunch of AYANEO on this site? They're making a bunch of revisions to what's essentially the Steam Deck.
Lmfao SteamDeck? That flop that was failing until the community started porting over emulators and front end loaders.

That same SteamDeck that struggles to play anything recent unless you plan on fucking about installing patches and fixes.

That same SteamDeck that is Valves very own intention to be solely linked to its own store, yet failed as with many other aspects, to inform you what is supported or not but its own gaming device.

Imagine buying an xbox or PlayStation to visit their store and have to download a game to then find its not supported or wait for them to tell you its supported.

As many other common sense features valve later brag about adding in future updates, ahhh ok but erm yea sorry, the community saw your failure and already made it possible. So no need to wait for you to play catch up.

And lastly, when its store gets what they hope to be big seller titles then lie claiming its confirmed supported for the SteamDeck, yet it runs like a complete sack of shit, regardless of any patches/updates/mods.

Why do SteamDeck fans seem so oblivious and keep over hyping the thing when its been vs against other devices that are by far superior, insisting the SteamDeck is better yet the other with better hardware is shit in comparison.

Erm, hello, the whole purpose of PC gaming is to have better results vs playing on consoles.

These devices are pretty much the best thing you'll get to having pc gaming on the go, its not like your going to power and fit a 24GB GPU into something like this yet.

I wonder if SteamDeck fans are like mentally challenged like nintendo fanboys that seem to have the same logic.

Slate others for doing something better, yet defend the one that charges you for cheap shit and restrict what your able to play other than old recycled crap.

Personally I'd have no need for this device as I have a OneXplayer 2 Pro, but I regret wasting money upgrading my SteamDeck as this just sits along side my Nintendo Switch, collecting dust.
