Yeah I've been working on it, it was gonna be released on Christmas but since I didn't get everything working in time I decided to release it with all of the languages and news sources by that date, a month from now.

I hope I get it done by time, worked very hard on the project.

Something tells me us vWii people will have to wait a little longer than until January 26th for the rii-connected news channel. Lol if yes than its okay Id rather it be released late but best it can be than released early/on time and be crap. Is riiconnect24 going to be available for vwii mode ever?

It would be Nice if i can Port over the Forecast channel, and use another Weather Server (Ex: Yahoo, or Google, or Even The Weather Channel.)

You know the WiiConnect24 thing on the Wii that was used for Weather, Voting, Nintendo News, News, Mii sharing, etc.? Me and AwesomeMarioFan brought it back, to use on your browser. We missed the functions of the channels and wanted to bring it back to life after all these years. It really showed what the Wii could do.

Wiimmfi is a different thing, and we have relations to them.

Basically, you can combine Wiimmfi to get Nintendo WFC back and RiiConnect24 to get WiiConnect24 back to get full compatibility.

Yes, RiiConnect24 replaces the original servers.

Hello, first of all I would like to say congratulations on the release of the Beta of the News Channel. I'm sure its a big step forward for you guys. However, when I ran the News Channel on my old wii, and it had IOS 31 patched and Riiconnect24 on, the News Channel did not get news from a few days ago, rather it got news from June 2013. Was I supposed to see something else?
Also, are you guys still going to update this page: https://riiconnect24.net/progress.php as far as progress with the News Channel goes?

Hey Larsen, I managed to get some new news to come in on the riiconnect24 news channel for wii. (I think I just needed to reset my wiiconnect24 settings, and it is fixed on my wii now.)

First, I want to say thanks so much for creating this. The Weather Channel on the Wii was one of my favorite things ever to mess around with after a long day, and I look forward to being able to and to show my kids someday.

Is there any way to get this working on the Wii U? My vWii is modded and I have Homebrew Channel. I downloaded RVL-Weather-7.wad using NUS Downloader. Will I screw anything up? Do I patch the same IOS files as in the directions given for installing on a Wii?
