It's is easy as that?

If I back up my card and install this, I can just restore my card backup to clear it all out like it was never installed, right?
That's one way of getting rid of menuhax, yes. You could also just uninstall menuhax through the menuhax installer.

I want to thank you very much for all the help you're givin', I'd be here all night long trying to find all the info I need otherwise.

Jammin' to this soundtrack while I take care of this... I like how this sounds like it's sung by the Squid Sisters:

EDIT: Is there a way to export browser bookmarks from the SD card?

Sorry for the double post, but I need to ask... I finally got time to do this and got the launcher up and just installed menuhax using the homebrew launcher launched with browserhax... but the launcher screen says it's version 1.1 and I read that I need homebrew launcher 2.6, and I'm confused here, because I downloaded the starter kit directly from the homebrew launcher home page. How do I know if this is the right version, and if not, where do I get the right one?

You don't see 2.6 gamma while booting? That's weird. This is still from his website, but try just downloading the boot.3dsx and replacing it in your sd card root. Afterwards, rerun the installer.

I don't know about when it was booting... I wasn't paying much attention to that. I put the starter kit on my card, started my 3ds, reset the date and time, went to the broswer and initialized save data with the wifi off so it couldn't load a page and give the update screen, then it closed the browser after initializing and I reopened it, typed in the url for browserhax and then turned on wifi and loaded that page, then the bottom screen flashed a rainbow of colors and then I had Homebrew Launcher on my screen... but it says 1.1.0 on the screen with the menu options.

Before I noted the version number, I selected and installed menuhax manager 2.2... after it said it installed successfully, I exited that and that's when I noticed the version. From this point, I'm not sure what I need to do... if there's some button combo I need to push to exit this back to the home screen or if I'm supposed to just turn the system off and back on, or if that menu option to exit without restarting is supposed to be in this main menu on homebrew launcher.

off topic but how did you manage to double post without your post being auto merged with the previous post?

It shouldn't matter what version of hbl you're running, but if you press the start button in hb, are you getting 3 options? And if so, is one of them going back to the home menu without a reboot?

Most likely the time between posts... auto-merge is probably if you double-posted within a certain time. Otherwise it'd make it hard to bump a post or topic if you were the last poster.

THANK you... is there a manual for all the buttons in HBL so I don't need to ask around to figure it out? I just don't want to accidentally f something up.

And yes, it does give the option to restart without rebooting by pressing X.

EDIT:
OK, I exited HBL by pressing X... now I'm supposed to run menuhax and start HBL from there so I can use Httpwn and finally access Pokebank... how do I get menuhax started up?

OK, this is getting ridiculous, what the heck am I supposed to do?? I keep searching everywhere for more info on what specifically I am suppossed to do to get this going so I can access Pokebank tonight, but there's nothing helpful and just hundreds of search results with other non-specific questions and answers....

I used X to exit HBL after installing menuhax... from there, I had no idea what to do next, there's nothing new to run on the 3DS menu... I read that you use L+down at boot to start menuhax, so I shut off the 3DS which oddly didn't shut off fully, it shut the screes off, then I had to hold it down longer to shut off fully.... then I held down + L and powered back up only to see the normal 3DS menu with nothing there to run still! I also tried with just holding L as someone else stated in another thread.

So there's nothing here to open, I thought it would have some icon to click on to run HBL or show some special menu screen when starting up with that button combo after installing menuhax.... what the heck do I need to do to get to the point of having httpwn running?

Hold just L while you turn it on. also for the other stuff the 2.6 u saw u needed is the payloads not the homebrew menu or the menuhax installer. The starter pack will give you the 2.6 payload or newer.

I DID hold just L, it boots up and what I see is the normal 3DS home screen but my theme is back to no theme... I don't know what else to do from this point or if this is even what I'm supposed to see.

Get back into the homebrew menu and run the menuhax installer again. Sounds like it didn't install all the way. Or you can just run what ever it is ur trying to run once you get into the hb menu without installing menuhax

I finally got it to work and got the Pokebank event taken care of no problem!

I redid the browserhax (also redoing the step to initialize data after the date was set at 1/1/2000), making sure to keep the wifi off till I entered the link, got back in homebrew launcher, didn't uninstall menuhax, I just ran the install again, then exited the menuhax back into the HBL screen, and this time, I didn't exit the HBL, I just turned the power off right from there by holding the button until the blue light shut off... and then first try, got back into HBL by holding L and releasing it as soon as the screen turned to static. After that, I ran httpwn from HBL, then pressed Start to get the exit menu and pressed X to exit without rebooting and viola, went into Pokebank with no required system update. Got the event pokemon and exited and got them transferred to my game just in case.

Thanks again, everyone, I hope this info will help anyone else to get this working right.
