I ask myself what is the adapter just aside the NES on his videos ?
He puts a game sometimes on it and you can plug 2 controllers.

    Anyone knows ?

My guess is that it is a redesigned NES. I'm not very sure though

Are you probably referring to the NES 2?
It's an official revision by Nintendo of the NES. It's called Famicom AV in Japan.

Be ware that he still uses the old NES controllers with it [IMG]

I often get confused between it and the snes as they look fairly similiar.

IIRC it fixed alot of the problems the first NES had (try using your NES after 20 years and see what happens [IMG] )

Mine's still chugging along, though it's getting increasingly difficult to get Pictionary and Duck Hunt to run. Most of my other games only require a few re-seats before they boot correctly.

    My NES still works. [IMG]
Although one of the plugs to it is broken.
The little wire that is erect in the circle at the end

    On my cable it's flaccid.

Oh man, I thought AVGN reviewed some NES accessory again.

There was an interview with him somewhere where he explained the process of how he shot the gameplay and then had to edit it down to fit the commentary and it was quite time consuming. Sorry, I can't find the link atm.

the NES2 is simply an awful revision of the NES.
it does away with the lockout chip and zif connector problems of the original nes (both good things to be rid of), but replaces those problems with a lack of composite video support and lousy video in general, as well as a very loose cart slot which tends to randomly reset the system when anybody walks past.

    thanks nintendo.
The only upswing to them is that they have fully twice the resale value of a standard NES.

The Famicom A/V (japan) looks similar but has the composite outputs.
