People might be interested in some button combinations to use at boot:

A+B+X+Y = Boot to Menu (overrides boot.ini)
Select = GBA Mode (self-explanitory)
A+B+X+Y+L+R = NDS Mode (have no idea what this does)

Those should help a few people who are getting stuck.

EDIT: Got NDS mode and Boot to Menu mixed up, it is fixed now.

Thank you, but can you explain to me how NDS mode is any different than Boot to menu mode? They seem to boot to the menu that boots when you just hit the power button. Can anybody explain the differences to me please?

NDS Mode doesn't seem to do anything at the moment. It just gives me two white screens...

Boot NDS mode is if you have a slot 2 card that supports NDS & GBA(like an m3 perfect), and you want to use the NDS features.
