@Xizix Safest way to avoid updating is keeping it in airplane mode, otherwise go to:
'Settings->System->Auto-Update Software' and set that to off.
Auto-Updates refer to game updates not system updates. There is no way to disable system updates without enabling Airplane Mode or disabling Wi-Fi settings.

I set my internet settings to not auto connect to the network. It helps quite a bit, and anything that needs internet makes you manually connect to the network. (Once you connect you are connected until you sleep/disconnect)

Checking the list he linked above, SciresM has finished the mitm refactor, which just leaves adding support for the new firmware. Judging from his usual rate of progress, I'd guess he's on time for his estimate of Sunday release. Epic work as always.

So, a please excuse me, since i'm noob on this still. I have an emunand on 9.0.1 and a sysnand on the same firmware, when athmosphere support for 9.1 release what i'm gonna have to do is:

-Copy the new athmosphere files to my sd card
-update emunand to 9.1 using ChoiDujourNX
-update sysnand normally.

Is that correct?Did i miss something?

Anyone know how to get this running for Hekate / Kosmos Users? I swapped in the new files And I'm getting an error when trying to boot.
If I choose CFW emummc in hekate it just reboots to Hekate. if I launch the latest fusee_primary from payloads I get the following error.
2002-2634 (0x149402)
Program 010000000000001F
Firmware: 8.1.0
I'm running 9.1.0 on my sysnand with 8.1.0 on emuMMC.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
