Alchemists from all around the world, rejoice! Soon enough, you'll be able to enjoy elixir-making on the go once more, this time thanks to the PSVita.

According to a leak released by Game Jouhu as well as a 7Net listing, Atelier Meruru Plus: The Apprentice of Arland, an enhanced port of the PS3 original is headed to the PSVita and slated for a March 20th release. The game will feature new costumes, new boss battles as well as a costume transfer feature, allowing for transfering all your favourite costumes from Atelier Totori Plus as long as you have save data for it on your system.

In B4 people cry about the Vita getting a port.

It's a JRPG with a strong focus on item crafting. If you want to try out that kind of a game, Atelier Annie is available for the DS. ;)

I have no idea what this is but since it has a ten year old anime girl in it this instantly makes the vita the superior handheld, vita> 3ds for real son.

This is pretty interesting. I just got this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I wonder if she'll want a Vita now.

    ???
Wonder if NISA will do this or Totori first....or if it will touch either at all...which would be sad since it would be easy money.

I hope we get these here.....though I'm not sure how well the series did here (I remember the Meruru Collectors Edition sold out fast though).

Totori would be first in line - there's really no point in localizing a game which requires save data from a non-localized one to utilize one of its features. ;) Besides, they already have the translation ready since they released the PS3 version - it's a matter of copy-paste here.

Newsflash: The upcoming PS3 to Vita port of Atelier Meruru will feature additional content (well, duh - the Plus in the name is there for a reason), including a showdown between one of the masters and a student. It will also feature additional costumes from previous games in the Atelier series, for example the Rorona outfit.
