I´d prefere to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite and Atari Flashback Collection.

    *Got 150 classics
    *It´s cheaper
*Alows you to play Atari on the toilet.

$389.99 for an Android box with Atari IPs on it ? Really ? I'll stick with my Jaguar for those games...

In 6 months they will be all over ebay for $50... and when that happens, I'll grab one JUST because it's an Atari....LOL

Trying to milk the Atari name....LOL good luck with that...

The Ouya wasn't a scam. For $99, cables and controller included, you got a solid emulation/streaming/kodi/android box with an interface optimized for controllers.

For this, you pay nearly $400 and you get a low end PC that you have to install an OS not optimized for a controller on yourself with storage that isn't included. You can get laptops with better specs for that price, or a raspberry pi for a fraction of the cost.

I was at least thinking it might at least have a new Earthworm Jim going for it, but that's Intellivision's new console, so it doesn't even have that.

I love the idea of being able to install any OS onto a game console, like the PS3's OtherOS thing that got discontinued, but 400 bucks for something with these specs is kinda laughable. If it ends up coming down to $150-250, I might buy it, but... Man, what missed potential. I'd imagine they had to jack up the price because of the development hell it went through..

wait, so Atari NEEDS an AMD Ryzen and 8GB of DDR4 in order to emulate Atari 2600 games? I can run Minecraft with those specs.

This still looks like a cash grab, I give respect for somebody trying to make Atari relevant again, though this seems too cash grabby, just build a gaming PC, way more bang for buck, I kinda see what they're doing, and upgradable "game console/PC hybrid", they should've just launched some gaming PC's it would've wayy easier for people accept, Atari vs. Alienware ftw...

Imho: my profile pic is more closer to a real life Atari vcs 800 it's a legacy computer consisting of: 6502(read 6502 no 7), riot, Tia (will the real vcs please stand up...), atmega 8515, 64k of total ram, ay-3-8910, and a gal22v10 atm to glue it all together.......it's on the back burner atm I need to get actual boards etched for further prototyping, just to see what will happen

Just sell me the joy stick and game pad bundled together for the same price one Dual Shock 4 costs. That will make Atari high-profile, for real.

The only thing this box is good for is recording a youtube video 15 years in the future about how much it sucked. Its not even worth an emulation box. I can find a pc in the trash for free and have it be a better emulation box then this.
