my theory is that god created evolution.

From a scientific standpoint, this would make god redundant. From a biblical standpoint this is laughable as the "all powerful" and rather neurotic Yahwah (or El depending on which chapter) wouldn't leave design and development to anyone else, particularly environment.
Maybe God/Yahwah/El/Jellyfish decided to released his code as open source?

Yeah, what if...that...WTF?

As I look at it god is the power that moves the world , so basicly every one beleive in some sort of god ( even atheist since they believe in the rational approach). God doesn't have to be a deity of some sort it a basic philosophical idea about powers who moves the world

You never know...although personally I think it's extremely unlikely that god exists in the traditional sense you can never be 100% sure.
I'm just making the point that if you doubt the courage of your convictions, as you and RayorDragonFall obviously do, then you really are religious. Can you be 100% sure that Santa Claus doesn't exist? There is a level of certainty where even debating it becomes embarrassing. I dropped Santa Claus at about 5 years old and God at about 12. You may be taking a little longer ...

Then cool. I can breathe life into my Teri Hatcher statue I made from gummi-bears.
Happy days!

I did believe in god at one, but that was when i was in elementary school, and they pretty much forced the idea of god onto you. In elementary school, they made you LEARN the pledge of allegiance. You got introuble if your hand was on the wrong side of your chest. You got in trouble if your didn't say the pledge. It's all a bunch of BS. At least in middle school, they don't really make you learn, but you still get introuble if you don't stand. They say it shows "respect".

Off topic. 100th post!

I hate how people assume that christians/catholics take the bible as non-fiction and the truth. I went to a catholic school and I don't think anyone there thought the bible was a true story.

Those fundamentalist Christians are the ones that scare me, lucky we don't have too many of them down here in Australia. I don't think I could live in the south in America

Yeah that's not right they shouldn't force crap like that onto you. America scares me sometimes.

ever heard of agnosticism? You aren't religious if you believe for 99% that there is no God and 1% left is for the missing evidence in proving that "he" really does not exist. Like I do. (you can actually call this atheist agnosticism or de facto atheist, maybe you should look this up somewhere)

Quoted for truth. I go to a archiepiscopal (yes i had to look this up lol) run-by-church catholic school and our teacher in religion is VERY tolerant, open-minded and honest in his beliefs etc. It's definitely very interesting and most discussions are pretty educating and im saying that as a damned (de facto) atheist ! And yes, we're adjudging fundamentalism, it's stupid as fcuk and is pretty much the reason why i still can't like christiniaty that much, although all the religious people i know - as said - are all fine with me, but the possibility that people like to read the bible literal, is still there, so.. (it's much worse with islam
