Is it scheduled to come back anytime? It was a really good feature in my opinion.
Ya whatever happen to it?
It will be brought back to life eventually.
None of the existing questions/answers/contents have been lost.
We just got a lot of stuff to do before we work on that
Like what kinda of stuff?
He added back some features, such as review center, tutorial/guide index, blogs, and scrips users don't notice like showing who edited a post, it wasn't a standard feature of xenforo.
There's a new feature I'm sure most of you never noticed : you can grant access to your own "first post" in a thread to another user so they can edit/maintain guide in your stead.
few plugins and features (tapatalk, shoutbox, user notification, etc.)
real life stuff taking lot of time too
There are still missing features, here are the one I think:
Ability to move a thread to blog
quick picture upload. (not the album, the first version we had, it was easy and fast. But I guess if we get it back it will be the gallery addon)
ws.gbatemp.net is gone (I had stuff stored in it)
release list, now using nforush but maybe having access to the old one
even if I didn't go to that page often, I liked the Forum's index with links to all available features/links.
and maybe stuff I don't know (or can't talk about it)
If ask comes back, three problems need to be fixed.
1 - It wasn't very visible, people wouldn't try to answer stuff because they rarely saw it.
2 - With the way people were rated on their answers, a lot of people didn't want to try answering questions because the rating was based off of posts, which didn't take #3 into account, so ratings were really fucked up (the people that gave the best answers were often rated THE WORST because it'd take them multiple posts to decide the best course of action, and only one of those posts could be chosen as good).
3 - Some questions people ask cannot be answered immediately. There needs to be feedback and a discussion to determine an answer, which the ask section did not allow happily (character limits, no multi-quote, etc.)
I liked the Ask section, but I don't remember many people using it.
Oh yeah, I remember this feature. I really liked it.
What about...Ask Black-Ice?
How about no.
