Armored Core V Releases in October

In Famitsu this week, From Software reveals a release time period of October for Armored Core V. The PS3 and Xbox 360 multiplatform title will carry a price point of ¥7,800.

Before the October release, From will host a closed beta test for the game. Famitsu says that From will begin taking names for this shortly, but it does not share a specific date.

The magazine's preview of Armored Core V this week provides a look at actions like Glide Boost, Boost Charge, High Boost, Jump & Boost Drive, and Drift. We'll hopefully get an online look at these later in the week.

This will make a nice import, at lot of those actions reek of Front Mission though, most likely this will hit the US so stay tuned after the October release for confirmation.

now this is one title i'd like to see on the Nintendo 3DS.... always have been a fan of mecha (although never took the time to memorize all the gigajillion Gundams), and have played this game up to that PS2 title.

although the robots look something like Front Mission wanzers, the action on this one is pretty intense, especially with heavy missile builds (think Macross/Bangai-O/bullet hell kinda missile blooms).

one of the reasons why i liked Custom Robo Arena so much is because it's a fairly good imitation of this game's versus mode.
