it is hard for me to find an updated list of roms that need the arm7 fix to run on DS-X. it is a pain for me to load a rom onto the DS-X and try to figure out whether it is running properly or needs the arm7 fix. it is much easier just to use the fix and then load it on my cart the first time around.

my question is, what happens if i use the arm7 fix on a rom that doesn't need it? will the rom run properly? also does anybody know of a regularly updated list of roms that need the arm7 fix?

thanks in advance.

I've never used the fix, but from what I've read the fix consists in replacing the official nintendo arm7 binary they give with their sdk with one compatible with the DS-X. I think it should work if the switch is compatible with the sdk version the dev have used. So it should be harmless, but maybe you shouldn't apply it on early rom or something like that. And if the sdk is heavily updated you might have to get an updated arm7 replacement for running newer games.
I've never understood the need for this, does the DS-X assume some behaviour of the arm7 binary ? like a certain amount of memory not used that they can reuse...
