With all of this worry about used games, here is a question i don't think many people are asking. Maybe this question has already been answered.
Is there a special, button, pin or spring that is being pushed once a game card is inserted, that tells the Switch, a game card is physically in the slot?
Sure, we can spoof the system menu into thinking that a game cars is "ready" but what if Nintendo added a simple but effective layer of anti-piracy into the Switch, allowing it to verify that a game is actually there? I read somewhere that a person was able to rip their game onto the Switch but the console would block their rip from loading yet allow their physical copy to play like normal. Makes me think that something more is going on with the card slot.
