Gaming Are we allowed to get more that 1 mystery gift?

Gah... I wasted one of my gifts when using the wondercard. I got the crappy Deoxys thinking that you can get more gifts...

I am using an actual Pokemon Diamond cartridge and was wondering if there is a way to get more than one mystery gift?

Everytime I tried to receive another gift but just different pokemon, it says I can't receive another gift? I just modified the Deoxys Distribution to be distributing Shaymins instead. And am too lazy to use Pokesav then transfer it.

Is there a way to be able to get more than one mystery gift?

I'm taking an educated guess at this, but I think that the game sees it as you trying to get a mystery gift from the same card. If you want to get it again, you're going to have to use Pokesav to edit the mystery gifts in the save file so that the game can receive from a Deoxys distribution cart again. (I think....)
