Are those Benn Venn GBC AGS-101 LCD Conversion cables worth it?

I just watched the video at Benn Venn's site and it doesn't look too hard or expensive (80-100USD) to install.

How much power does that CPLD use? I'm wondering what the impact of AGS-101 and CLPD is on the GBC's battery life.

Hi, I got one (modded by a professional since it's really not that easy - at least when comparing it to GBA modding). It's really nice and I like it a lot (playing with X5 rev.A without any problems so far). Regarding battery I use rechargeable batteries and no issues so far (I'm not playing for hours at once so no problems here). Can I recommend it? In my opinion yes since I love playing games on their original consoles - but it's a mind thing to me, emulators or GBA's will serve fine as well (got several GBA's as well but I just don't like it playing GB games there). I you have any further questions just let me know.
