Hi I'm looking for a game similar to Blackthorne for the DS.
I finished the 32x version a while back and am thirsting for more.

I just ordered a supercard dstwo so I could play the SNES and GBA versions on my DSi
and am starting to think that it might even be possible to play the DOS version with dsx86 sometime soon.

I realize that the most overwhelmingly popular games within the DS "scene" are candy land inspired
Nintendo first party and JRPG games, but there's got to be something similar to Blackthorne, isn't there?

There doesn't seem to be many games quite like Blackthorn. As you mentioned, there is a GBA version, but that's not really going to help you if you're looking for a DS game.

Then why'd you bother posting?

Well, Blackthorne is really like Prince of Persia, so if you mean a game that is kinda slow paced and Prince of Persia Style, i dont know because all of these adventures games, at least most of them are really fast these days, not like Blackthorne.

Perhaps if you said Prince Of Persia-style more people would know what you mean? It's far more well-known.

All right.
2D prince of persia with guns.

Try Flashback for SNES, its similar-ish to Blackthorne and I remember both being equally frustrating as a youngster

There's also a GBA version of Another World. Works fine on a 3-in-1 at least.

I played a bit of Blackthorne a while back and remember it being nonlinear, but I could be mixing it up with something else. There's probably some nonlinear games on the DS like that, none are coming to mind though.

wow. i miss Another World. that was definitely a thing of beauty. wasn't there a port of that game for the DS? maybe i'll go look for that, instead of playing it on an emulator. not really a big fan of platformers, although i have dabbled every now and then, and finished some.

and i didn't know that the original Prince of Persia looked so smooth on the NES...
