Hacking are the hinges stronger in white ds lite?

Is it true that the hinges are stronger in white ds lite? Mine is onyx and the left hinge is loose. When i flip my sister's white ds lite the hinges are firm. Is it possible to replace new hinges? or i might sell the onyx ds lite just to buy a white one. i'll test more units to see if it's true.

Do you open and close yours a lot? That should wear them down. Cuz both are the same, supposedly.

It's probably loose because the screen has been bent back too many times like mine.

You probably use your DS more then your sister does. Hence you open and close more. With my bro's white DSL his hinges are looser then my black DSL hinges, because he plays his more. Just depends on usage and whether or not you take care of it.

You obviously take care of yours, he might not. Lol i dunno. But im pretty certain it has nothing to do with colors of the DS.

hinge is different between polar white and onyx ones, and thats why white ones get hinge crack and blacks dont, not even one,

My white DS lite hinge cracked, but I believe that was due to the time it was released, good thing Nintendo has good customer service, sent it in and got it fixed for free. (So if it does crack, I would think you would be good on getting it fixed.)

Yeah, I've noticed that my wife's DS (my hand-me-down white one) feels much more "firmer" when opening and closing, even with a hinge crack. It kinda pops open and gives a bit of kickback to it.

My onyx DS, on the other hand, seems to have a weaker feel when opening it. I've actually pushed the top screen all the way back (past the point it should normally go) on accident a few times.

Yet, no hinge crack. Take the good with the bad I suppose.

yeah, that's exactly with my case. i just went to microplay and trade in a new black DS lite cause i rather have a loosse cover than a crack hinge.

The white ones I noticed have a more notable sound when you fully open them in comparison to the onyx ones. What about the pink one?

I dropped my white DS lite down a stone stair case and it only received a hairline crack on the hinge.

I bought my DS lite Pink during summer last year and recently noticed there's a crack in the hinge on the left side (when slot-2 is on my side). So I am wondering if anyone in Europe knows if Nintendo Europe has any free trade-in service.
