So, i want to buy a NEW Nintendo DS Lite, and a relative is coming to Mexico soon, so i wanted to know if DS Lites are still on normal stores like Target, Gamestop, Walmart, Toys R Us etc... so he can bring me one, because down here everything is extremely expensive (more than double of its normal price, hooray for my country). Also, if they are still on stores, how much are they? I've checked Google shopping and the stores websites but the info is very inaccurrate. Thanks in advance, and please excuse my english.

I think there's a Walmart around here that's still clearing out the last of them at $99. I don't know if that's common or not, since by the time I got my Micro from them they'd been discontinued for a while, and they were going on most websites for a good bit more than what I paid for mine.

why not got one 3ds .

Thanks for your suggestion :) .
But,
1.-I'm not interested in 3DS games.
2.-Their battery really sucks. (3-5 hours of gameplay time vs The Ds Lite that lasts more than 9 hours)
3.-It's much more expensive

you could always try ebay?

I'm looking for a new one :D, and i would prefer a real store :D

Thanks to both of you for your answers.

to be honest, not even as brand new, a lite will stay on for 9 hours oo

also, you should probably aim for dsi. since theres hardly any new lites being sold, and the refurbished and used ones will probably soon show signs of L/R breaking

i was told by my game store the 3ds replaced all current versions of the ds so the ds lite, dsi and dsi xl not been made any more just be whatever is left in stock as new and what people traded in for the 3ds so all ds lite should be 2nd hand only

DS Lites are still in production. My local game stores have them by the dozens

Yup, Walmart has two cases filled with them and 1 1/2 filled with DSi/XLs. Yet in the whole store they only have 2 units of the 3DS. Odd.

It surprises me that DS Lites are still being manufactured. Shows how awesome a machine it is.

Maybe in the future when the 3DS is dead and buried.. they'll still be making Lites.
