It kinda reminds me of Johnny Lee´s wii project and of course 3ds. But this I think it would be first time that display is multiuser and glasses free capable.. i am sure it'll be presented publicly soon

Thought the same thing v_vWestside said:Ahh... good old Apple, taking old technology that already exists somewhere else, claiming it as an innovation and then charge it at 3 times to original price.

People, read the patent! This is a tech actually superior to the one Nintendo is gonna use with the 3DS.
Here are the differences:
Patent-Volumetric displays, according to the patent, present images that "appear ghosted or transparent."
-The parallax barrier method "typically requires the observer to remain stationary in one location."
-Dynamically presented holographic images require "far greater computational ability and bandwidth than is generally required for [other autostereoscopic displays]...in real time and at commercially acceptable costs."

This technology will not have those issues, that's all
Current technologies for holographic images require powerful CPUs and GPUs to work. This technology has some kind of a workaround for that.shlong said:My bad...
