Apple delays white iPhone a second time

Man, there's about a zero percent chance that Steve Jobs and company are happy about this. Just days after shocking the market with higher-than-expected profits and revenues, Apple is having to grit its teeth once more with yet another iPhone 4 problem. This time, the elusive white iPhone -- yeah, that one that we toyed with at the WWDC announcement keynote -- is being delayed again. The new due date? Sometime "later this year." Here's the full, and unsurprisingly brief, announcement:

Supposedly because it's harder to make white glass without paint, because then it would chip and reveal its innards. Also because to get that color onto glass without it rubbing off or wearing off over time, you'd need it either behind the glass (which would look bad) or actually the color of the glass, which is quite hard to do.

They're probably revising the antenna for the white one as well, halting production for the September REAL fix for the problem. (New model)

Guys, if you have an iPhone 4 and really hate the antenna problem, return it before September so you can get the new one if it comes out, or just get a trippy android.
Apple is NOT going to send you a new updated one. They will NOT. No way in hell.

I read something about the glass-type on the white models being hard to get in, import or manufacture.

I wonder if they'll move the antenna(e) inside the phone, which would probably fix its main problem. He could announce it as Apple's Fast and Innovative new Phone! The Apple iPhone 4.1.

You're forgetting about the one little thing persistent in the industry: progress. Look at how many phones HTC churns out on a monthly basis. Compare that with only yearly updates to all Apple products, and we've got ourselves a huge hole in your argument. This is an exception because many were complaining about the hardware fault that cannot just be "bandaged" with a free case.

By the way, technology moves faster than your wallet, and not everyone cares that there's something new.
