these sites have not injured any of nintendo's income,
except the era of virtual console...

i agree with the persevation idea.. it's old games, they should be preserved and available to people to enjoy, not re-packaged and sold in proprietary devices that will get obsolente in some months tied to DRM accounts and bullshit that get their servers shutted down after some years and we are forced to move again and buy the same "vintage" games on the newest proprietary device etc...
plus. like if nintendo or any company sold the entire romsets.. they only re-sell a few titles they choose to... and put shitty restrictions...
roms for life.

This is exactly how I believe, and again, I can't stress this enough. Archive, Archive, Archive!
but isn't archive.org a website that is very friendly towards dmca stuff and copyright? meaning nintendo can send them a letter and they will remove the stuff right yesterday?

Idk in the past I've used it and it seemed alright, but try backing it up. I gave archive.org as a suggestion. I'm not familiar with their legal.

I wouldn't worry about it too much anyway. I have a feeling that they will put the roms back up once the whole thing blows over and Ninty is no longer looking (or they add stuff to block dmca-bots).

Exactly.
The fucking VC is limited as fuck.
We only get less than 10% of what the actual console's library has to offer, and they still have the fucking nerve to DMCA the ROMs?
I'm sorry but fuck you, Nintendo.

are romsets confirmed to be complete?
my issue with romsets has been that they always miss stuff..
do they provide ways of verification like a list of checksums to verify roms are not damaged and stuff?

not to mention it has been proved nintendo did get the roms to their VC from the fucking rom websites...
it was proven by a video i forgot the link...
(how else do you think it's so easily to inject stuff and the way VC works)

This is kinda void, if we all decide to pitch in and upload as much as possible it will probably make a complete collection.

iirc, the GBA ROMset had a modified Pokemon Emerald with a custom intro

So i wasn't crazy when i searched for LeafGreen, Advance Wars, Drill Dozer and others and i couldn't find them AT ALL.

I just searched for Leaf Green and Advance Wars and found quite a few places on the first page that still have them for download, though one site wanted to install a firefox extension but worked fine when I refused to allow it.
