This pack changes many textures (NOT ALL) that appear throughout the game. These textures were obtained/taken from the PC version of the game.
This will never be complete because there are way too many textures to replace. The "main" focus was to replace the location textures. But overall the game should look better.
Here's what to expect with the texture pack:

Prestory Section in HD
Playstation 4(DS4) Buttons
Translated Battle Menu(Mostly)
Character Portaits(Not Complete)
"Extra" section(Mostly complete)
Translated Character Names for Camp Menu
Title Screen/Main Menu/Background Images in HD
Multiple pages in the Detective Notebook translated
Many textures of locations you visit in the game are mostly or partially in HD
Misc Textures (effects, True Demon Earnest, minimap, things I haven't mentioned, etc)

PC Version
This texture pack has some of the textures that were in the PPSSPP version. Pretty much the translated stuff since the game is already in HD. But it does have things that are not in the PPSSPP version though. Whenever the unofficial translation patch is released or the game is officially brought to west, most of the stuff in this pack will be irrelevant.

This pack contains mainly textures for the UI. This will never be finished and this is all I'll do for the game.

Zero no Kiseki(PC)
This texture pack is a button replacer(DS4/XboxOne), title screen change, and sum text along with title screen/main menu. Nothin' much else.

Thanks for doing this!

Maybe I'm missing an obvious step here... am I supposed to use this with PPSSPP? I'm not finding a "TEXTURES" folder to drop this into.

EDIT: I figured it out. First time replacing textures with the emulator.

I'm just wondering. Is there a way to use the English translated assets from the Zero no Kiseki patch on this? I tried messing around with the texture dumping option but couldn't get the battle menu textures to work at all without graphical glitches.

Not really sure what you mean. Are you trying to use the battle menu texture from zero to replace them with ao's? Also, i believe the translated stuff from the patch are not tied to the textures.

I was able to figure out how to get the English battle menu from Zero, but when I tried to swap it and run the game, it was kind of glitched.
I don't have any experience with this though, I was just messing around and thought it would work. The image I swapped was the same size and type.

I keep getting a spam notice when I attempt to post screenshots. I don't know if that's due to my user level.

I have the chinese HD PC version installed with all those files and have been trying to inject the, into the PSP version of the game and then I found this post

I took a closer look at PPSSPP texture dumping.
It appears that the dumped textures converted to PNG are the exact same image data as in the extracted ITP image data using my tool, so I could make HD texture pack for Sora FC, Sora SC, Sora 3rd, Zero, and Ao.
I should make a tool to generate xxh32 hashes for ITP image data that may also be contained in ITC (container for multiple ITP frames) or IT3 data (model format containing ITP textures).
Also, it appears that PPSSPP supports mapping hashes to file names, so replacing textures will be much easier.

They're already available on PC.

The texture packs as far as I'm aware wouldn't work on an actual PSP so you'd essentially be emulating the games on a platform that the games are already available on.

Unless you can use the textures on the PPSSPP android port?

Couple of questions.. Can the sprites also be swapped with the pc version? And, any chance this could be done for Zero no Kiseki? I couldn't find an HD pack for the game so far, to use on ppsspp.

About the absence of 'delete' button, I made a quick edit on the png file, so if you replace it with the attached png, it should work fine (just tested on ppsspp here)

One thing I noticed is that there seems to be an increase in loading times and a bit of stutter in battles when using the texture pack, or at least the newest one.

Are there some optimal settings in PPSSPP to help reduce or eliminate this? This is the first game I've ever used HD textures for.

@ton Yes, the sprites can be swapped with PC version. I only tested that with Lloyd but he looked weird or very out of place. I'm guessing becuz of widescreen issue.
Yes, this can be done for Zero as well, but this is texture replacement on a different scale than just making a character look hd, look like someone else, or a "few" grass textures look hd. I doubt anyone would take the time to work on Zero. Especially since ppsspp's texture dumping feature isn't something new.

@supermist Don't really know if this would fix it but I would recommend using the latest PPSSPP builds from here. https://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/
Also maybe use the settings in the attached pics.
