Hacking Anyway to download from eShop wihtout updating?

I'm curious to try the Yokai Watch demo that's releasing today, but I'm trying to stay on 9.9 for the sake of a future exploit. Is there anything I can do to download the demo w/o updating? I have access to homebrews, but obviously no kernel exploit. Thanks!

Honestly, staying on 9.9 is pretty much pointless. If known vulnerability was patched it would have been disclosed already. If Nintendo has patched something unknown and it can't be figured by diff checks then it won't be found. People are going to argue with me about this, but there is pretty much zero proof that anything exists that works on <9.9.

There's this QR code that's supposed to give an old3DS eShop access upon scanning.

I can't recall the requirements though. I'm pretty sure it works on 9.3+, but it may have been patched by a more recent browser update.

Nothing to lose though, it'll either work, or it won't.

If it works it will crash the browser and you'll be kicked back to the home screen, launch the eShop and it should load without prompting you for an update.

If it doesn't work, it'll prompt you to update. At which point you can decline.

Edit: Oops.. ist only the USA demo for the first game... But the demo will released on 22 October not today.

Yes, Nintendo posted on Twitter that the demo would be released today and this generated a giant confusion on the internet. I don't know what made them state this.
