I saw this thread at the Wiinja Forum where someone asks if there are any users without any DRE. No one posted there yet, but the thread got 280 views. Sounds a bit alarming to me.

So how is it here in GBAtemp? Any who haven't encountered any DREs?

Getting my chip tomorrow i hope, so i'll be testing like 30 discs, burned all in different setups (+R, -R, +R copied to -R, dvd-rom etc [IMG])

But maybe the high viewers-count is just because of a lot of people don't know what DRE stands for and they're just curious? [IMG] Before i came to gbatemp i didn't know either [IMG]

Do you mind answering a few questions please ?

What serial number your Wii has ?
With what DVD-writer do you burn with ?
What media do you use ?

The first Wii game I burned was on a Fujifilm DVD-R that I burned at 4x. It was FarCry. I got one DRE with it. After that I've burned all my games on TDK DVD-R's at 16x speed and I get no DREs. I use the Fujifilm discs for GC games (burn at 16x) and get no DREs.

Keep 'em coming. And please only post if you ALREADY have a Wiinja'd Wii and have no DREs. If that's the case, tell us your burner and media [IMG]

Hey, if you want less DRE's put the wii horizontally. That has shown to really reduce and sometimes remove DRE's from games. Just a tip for those who don't know.

I should add then that I've had no DRE's and my Wii is vertical, in it's stand.
