Hacking Anyone with experience on setting up A9LH on n3DS with EmuNAND set up?

Right now I am at a 9.2 EU n3DS with MenuHax set-up with RX-Tools EmuNAND. However, I want to make the leap to arm9loaderhax. I have read the Pailect's guide, but since it starts from scratch, I wonder exactly where I should start to minimise the risk of a brick? How should I go about this? Anyone with experience who were in the same place as me, and made the leap successfully? I just really want some instructions on how to set everything up prior to following Pailect's guide.

Have been trying to look around for information on exactly and explicitly what to look out for or how to approach this with an already hacked n3DS, but to no avail.

If you already have emunand set up u can skip to part 4. Every time it says rednand just use ur emunand. Make sure you don't have twl/agb stuff patched as it causes issue on the downgrade.
If you want to keep emunand and not use sysnand don't flash ur emunand backup to ur nand when it tells you. Flash the backed up emunand back to the emunand and do the appropriate settings for the cfw you are using.

By twl/agb, you refer to patching AGB_FIRM in order to play GBA VC on 3DS, right? I do have that patched (but not TWL). Not sure if I have a NAND backup from before I patched it (have a few backups but have not marked the files well enough ). Using a backup would be unideal anyhow, since it would require A LOT of reinstalling of games... Is there a way to un-patch the AGB_FIRM..?

Using a backup would be unideal anyhow, since it would require A LOT of reinstalling of games... Is there a way to un-patch the AGB_FIRM..?

Just download them. Not sure what the ids u need are and the name of the damn tool escapes me atm(think its called 3dnus). Or if the emunand isn't on the newest fw you can update it to 10.7 and downgrade from there.

My EmuNAND is 9.5. If I change the EmuNAND, is it possible for n3DS to update EmuNAND to latest fw (last time I checked RxTools did not support that on n3DS)? Just by going into System Settings? And that would be all I need to do before downgrading to 2.1, in practice starting from step 4 of Pailect's guide?

Swap to a different cfw. Rxtools is old and outdated. They added support for 9.6+ emunand a while ago but it was a bit fucky. Swap over to a diff cfw then update the emunand to 10.7£using system settings from emunand) that will clear the patched shit out. You can then follow the guidelines for downgrading the emunand to 2.1 and so on.
You don't have to make a new emunand to swap cfw

You can go back to your current emunand after getting OTP. You just need an emuNAND with unpatched AGB/TWL temporarily for the OTP process. If your sysNAND doesn't have the patched AGB then backup your emunand, recreate emunand from sysnand with emunand9 and use that. Otherwise, updating will remove patched AGB_FIRM anyway.

That's actually a good idea but if he's using emunand chances are its patched on both.
