USB loading has nothing to do with the DVD drive. And D2Sun team have cracked the new DVD Drives if I havent read wrong on their site.

LU39? my wii is a LU35 and i my granny bought it from jesus (who had bought it new). if we can hack a LU64 or whatever wii then even the dumber of us can hack a LU39.

i think the way jesus hacked my wii was by manifesting a newer dvd-drive firmware. so you might have to google such firmware. but jesus was a cool guy and released his holy drive firmware under gpl so it shouldn't be that hard to find.

I sent you a pm with the simple mod guide link by xzxero

but first see if the game is just a bad burn or something else!
get another game and burn it and see if it works. and if you are using a DVD-RW then use a dvd-r or dvd+r
if it STILL doesn't then do this:

DONT DELETE ANYTHING YOU DID FROM THE GUIDE YOU JUST DID! JUST FOLLOW EVERY STEP OF XZXERO'S GUIDE (i pmed it to you) even if some parts you already did in the other guide! At the end of xzxero's guide go into preloader (turn off wii, hold down reset and power on keep holding reset until you see preloader) then go to Settings and change the system menu IOS to 249.

you can now play backups from the disc channel and hopefully without problems

theres a really good chance your using bad media.
not necessarily bad but our wii is not accepting it.
get ahold of other blanks and try again.,

Okay...same problem as other dude... LU39413520[3] and every time I try to load a backup disc, I get the DVD Read Error (1101)... By the way, I'm using NeoGamma R7... I followed xzxero's guide, and I even did that Preloader step with Sysmenu IOS 249 thing that was mentioned; however, all of these steps proved friutless. Any advice would be helpful...even if it confirm's my fears of non-dvd backup play...
