Hacking Anyone tried Pokemon Pearl <-> Pokemon Battle Revolution - DS ba

Hi folks,
Has anyone had success with Pokemon Pearl/Diamond and Pokemon Battle revolution DS battle mode on the wii?
The DS with the edge card connects initially and is recognised as a player on the wii, but when all players are connected and continue is selected on the wii, the DS with the edge card hangs with 2 white screens and a solid green light.
Running Edge OS v1.34.
Also tried it on the M3 DS Real running System v3.7e, it doesn't even get that far it hangs immediately with 2 white screens directly after attempting first connect - regardless of if started with enter, Y, or from folder.

The only carts that are known to work fully with this connection are the G6 DS Real and the CycloDS Evolution, unless something has changed in the few months since I last checked.
