Hardware Anyone in the UK purchased a PAL NEW 3DS XL from Play Asia?

I'm thinking of getting a New 3DS XL from play asia some point soon and I've heard that it's possible import fees might be applied. Has anyone purchased a 3DS from play asia in the UK region or Europe and did you get import fees?

Import fees are applied if the package is worth more than 150 euros, also anything above 50 euros is gonna get you VAC taxed. Then again it doesn't mean that every country has the same rules. If they're sending it as a gift or as a low value package the you probably won't get taxed unless they decide to open the package and take a look on what's inside.

I'm becoming inpatient too, why did Nintendo make this move to push back the release of the New 3DS in Europe and North America. I'm confused yet I already know why they did it.

Why not buy from 365games, that's what I did. I think it's roughly a tenner extra but you'd get charged that and more in import tax and because they ship from the UK it'll get to you quicker.

Since it was marked returning goods, I can claim the tax money back. BUT, the handling fee from Parceforce is non-refundable I think.

I bought mine from Play Asia, it's cheaper than 365games defo but there's a gamble with customs that you'll have to play.

Parcelforce? Yeah, you'll have to pay for it. If you use FedEx or any other company that isn't paired with Royal Mail, you can get the fee dropped off with a quick email.

Go with 365games, ships from England, takes around a week to arrive.

Yeah, 365games if you're in the UK and want a PAL console. Bit expensive, no more than PLay Asia though. You won't get hit by any fees because they're shipped from the UK.

If you want a Japanese version go with Nippon-Yasan or some other proxy/forwarding service that'll mark the package down to £30 and as a gift.

Also, if the UK import fees work anything like ours, you'll also have to pay 20% tax over the shipping costs and the handling charges.

I ordered one from 365 games tuesday and it came via special today wednesday. But i wasnt in so its at the sorting office.
ordered the new xl but really think Id prefer the standard one with faceplates less jaggies

Mine from 365games is on 9.0.0-20E, AFAIK all Aussie New 3DS's ship with 9.0.0 ATM.

That's great I'm probably going to have to wait until after Christmas now to purchase a pal new 3ds xl but it's good to hear they're on 9.0

Yeah I hope it will come with 9.0 too.
After a conversation I had with 365games they told me that they get new shipments every week cause they sell all their stock fast but they believe it is from the same manufactured batch so I guess it will be still the same FW on the devices we will get in January.

Ordered it Wednesday of last week. Didn't get it until Monday of this week but that was because I had to change the address on the order after I'd ordered.
