I just flashed two white european DSLs and I can tell you that my heart nearly stopped beating. First when I tried to short SL1 nothing happened. Suddenly it went to 2% and then nothing for a few minutes. I got so nervious at that point but kept cool, at least it didn't turn off. So I moved my tool a bit around and boom, it went straight to 100%. The second DS was easier cause I knew how to stick my shorting tool into the hole.

Got mine today. Using the MML at the moment until I can get a superkey for the sleep mode. The supercard looks massive in it, will get the mini supercard soon hopefully. I was thinking of flashing the DS lite but they come with a 2 year guarantee, once flashed the guarantee is gone.

Its safer just using an MML or a supercard to keep the guarantee. This is my second DS lite of the day. I have a white one now, the black one I got had a dead pixel in the middle of the touch screen

YAY just flashed my black ds lite!
It's a lot easier than a normal DS ! I had my toothpick in the SL1 hole for about 3seconds and BANG it went straight to 100%!
Pictures will follow!

Hello. I've just flashed my black lite (like that name!) which I bought this morning and I must admit it was easier than flashing my old DS phat (primarily because I didn't have a clue what I was doing back when I bought my old one). I was sweating before I did it because I had read all the horror stories about people overseas bricking theirs but all I did was put my tin foil/insulation tape toothpick in the sl1 hole and it went to 100% (i didn't even have to wiggle it or anything). I would recommend flashing to everyone (rather than buying a superkey or something similar - this is free after all) but I would advise people to READ up first and make sure they know EXACTLY what they are doing before they attempt it.

What do you mean "free after all"? How do you flash a DS without "buying a superkey or something similar"?

Sorry, what I meant was it's cheaper if you already have a superpass. Technically mine was free because I got my superpass for free when I bought my supercard.

I suggest you use cotton gloves on your black DS Lite because it gets dirty pretty fast

And the M3 CF is sticking out a lot! I really hope M3 releases their M3 lite soon!

I found it HARDER to flash. I use a phillips screwdriver, not the toothpick and foil thing. I didnt bother insulating and all that hassle, since I could not see anywhere in the whole that could be touched, since the SL1 hols took up the whole space in the hole.

Anyway, I radomly just shove the screwdriver i nthe hole, and fiddle it about, and eventually it should get to 100%. This time however, I could not get it to move more than 1% at a time, and after about 15 minutes, I found a position, where it got from 7% to 100, in about 15 seconds.

It is easier to flash, in the sense that the SL1 has a larger surface area.

EXACTLY THE SAME. Every bit of it. Mine went to 1%, then 5 minutes later, 2%, finally after a few minutes, it got to 7%, then I must have found a good position, and it went firectly to 100%. Strange.

*edit. hmm. Ive already relied to this post before....
