I figure if it's a higher capacity, even if it's NOT really 2000mAh, it would offset the extra juice my 2 flashcarts are pulling and get closer to, if not more than the life of the old battery.

What do you think? A good one? Reviews (at the link) sound favorable......

Anyone ever buy one of these?

Nope, never seen one of them.

The battery is already long enough on the DS Lite.

i have 1 of these and it only adds a little bit of extra game time not much but the quick change cover is good for using both bateries

Well....my bro asked me, "If I buy this higher capacity battery for you, can I have your old one?"

My "old one" is what?.....'bout a year old or so now.....

Think about it, if he wants a battery why doesn't he buy the "higher power" one for himself?

I know nothing about batteries, but there's your answer [IMG]

QFT, if it doesn't work well then you'll know not to get one of your own.

I have one and it hasn't exploded in my face yet, haha. Game time wise, I haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe I should time it later~ Anyway, if you want extra game time, it's a good battery to use anyway.

all of these replacement batteries are pretty cheap, regardless of brand or website you buy from, so I wouldnt judge it by its brand..

I have it. It seems to last just about as long as an OEM battery, though I've never timed either one for any scientific comparison. The nice thing is the battery cover, so you can easily swap batteries if one dies and you don't want to be tied to an outlet. If thats your plan I suggest getting this too: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6584 so you can charge the batteries outside of the ds.

My brother wants the old battery to do some electronic experiments with it......incorporate a Lithium-ION battery into his project. He figures he might as well use the older battery in case the project goes bad. So I would just be using the new battery and the old one would be given to my bro.

We're probably gonna go for it.
