don't think the idea was to ever buy it all, just the ones that appeal. I recall this going on sale in the Steam summer sale for dead cheap

You have no idea how much train enthusiasts may actually shell out for this.

But yeah, paying over a grand in DLC and game is beyond reason to me

the most absurd things in all this is that some dlc are pricier than the game itself.
It feels as if the "main game" is just an engine and you must purchase the content separately.

Yeah, TS 12 had about the same amount of DLC. It's just ridiculous. I don't think 12 is even sold anymore on Steam.

The game's just changed names every year, it was railworks, then railworks 2 etc. everyone who owns it gets a free upgrade to the new engine. They seem to make their money selling DLC to actual train fanatics.

Yeah, it was 99% off, for DLC of every single train track in the world.
IIRC it was 90% off for everything, not 99%. I lolled back then, so much discount is just unreal :P
