Anyone else in the UK having rain issues?

Most days are cloudy with heavy rain occurring in 15 minute bursts. We have had a couple of bad days though

no such rain in london, but it does get really cold at night time, and it's june 0_0 really weird

Oh tell me about it, it's freezing here too. I don't like the cold

legendofphil: Good to hear the water's going down, hopefully they'll get the drains sorted out soon. Although they're probably still concentrating on that resevoir wall thingy atm, not knowing how close you are to that.

Everyone laughs when the UK can't handle a little bit of snow, but there's something seriously wrong with the system when we can't handle rain

Thank you, this afternoon its pretty much back to normal. Still a bit of water in the garden but its much more managable.
The drains are nearly there, things are flowing much more freely.
The dam is in South Yorkshire and I live East Yorkshire (though these days I can never tell, one minute its Humberside, then no one quite knows)

Round here the city council saved £137,000/year about 5 years ago by not doing proper maintenance on the drains in the streets, its what led to some of the problems.

No rain in Oxford atm... We had a few showers yesterday but nothing major. Except two power cuts! Atm it's sunny and bright!

Only 4 more days in smelly old Oxford then Southampton here I come! (...back)

No flooding here in Southampton, but plenty of rain and grey skies

lol i was gonna go to belgium on monday but we couldnt get to the ferry cos hull was badly flooded. all the roads into it were closed for the whole day and we got to about 15 miles away from hull and we moved half a mile in 4 hours! thats how bad the traffic was, we set off at about 2pm and got home at 12am!

i mean half a mile in 4 hours!!

we got off the coach and walked to the closes service station and nearly the whole shop was empty lol

only a few crisp packets here and there

Yeah, the traffic here in Hull wasn't much better.
I saw on the news that some people got stuck on the roads in, later on Monday.
Can't imagine what it would be like if I had to leave to go somewhere.
