Hi guys,
I have FW 13.1.0 and atmosphere 1.3.2. Neither of the available save game tools works with it - Checkpoint just doesn't open and JKSV crashes the console.
Any ideas? :)
Thanks!

Sorry to say, it’s not me, it’s you.

JKSV works on my Switch while on FW 15.0.1, though, and I'm fairly certain that Checkpoint does as well (I have not tried yet as I main on JKSV). You're probably just using a dated version of both homebrews.
You are correct in that Checkpoint was updated to 3.8.0 after 2 year hiatus but it seems to be working great now.

OK, got to work it with the full RAM access, both tools don't run in the Applet mode. BTW, to actually start them in the NON-applet-mode was quite a task, as it's not really understandably documented anywhere =).
But I found an even better tool - DBI, it offers a huge amount of tools within just one homebrew app, including a very comfortable saves management via MTP (USB).

Many tools use title override. I do it by default now, even for the ones that don’t need it.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
